Over the weekend, I finally made it to the Whitworth, Manchester, to see @alicekettle Thread Bearing Witness. The series of three large narrative textile pieces discuss displacement of individuals drawing on their individual experiences. Recently there has been very little time for an art. The work started because I wanted a new studio space. Now the whole of the ground floor is nothing more than a large hole full of wet cement in preparation for underfloor heating. I hope this will all be worth it. #extension #builders
